Biscuit’s Top 6 “Bi-lights” of 2015

We think the year wot just ended was quite bi-fivalicious, all things considered. It also had many idiot biphobic moments, but we pwned a lot of that.

6. The Whitehouse asked some bisexuals to visit

In September, a bunch of US activists went and spoke to the top-bods about their sexuality. Seriously groundbreaking.

5. Miley Cyrus came out

Miley says she’s not only pan but also genderqueer.

NOTE: We hereby bring up the pan/bi/binary issue. The subject of a panel we’re arranging for later this year, if you fancy getting involved/coming along. Just drop a line to for more info.

4. When Anna Paquin OWNED Larry King

3. Stonewall’s bi consultation

Not only did they nominate us for an award in 2014, the clever scoundrels, they have also made huge inroads in terms of upping bi visibility in the past year. We proudly announce that we will do as much work as we can with them in the future.

2. Purple Prose

A guide to bi culture in the UK – it risked funding itself with a crowdfunder and it succeeded. Huge props to those behind it. Biscuit got TWO exclusives...

  1. The first ever Biscuit Purple List

Tired of LGBT honours lists being all L and G? So were we. So we did this… And we’ll do it again. Watch this space: it’ll be soon 🙂

The following two tabs change content below.

Charlotte Dingle

Charlotte 'Lottie' Dingle is Biscuit's founding editor. When she's not running freelancing for a diverse bunch of clients ranging from Cosmo to Occupy, she enjoys teaching life drawing, discussing life/the universe/everything with her beloved (but smelly) 22-year-old cat, writing flash fiction for her MA course, getting pretentious tattoos, listening to folk music, creating surrealist art, trying to change the world and drinking red wine. Oh, and My Little Pony. Don't forget My Little Pony. Her favourite biscuits are cream crackers (do they count as biscuits?).
