What is the The Bi Zine Project?
The Bi Zine Project aims to create a fully searchable digital archive of zines produced by and for the bi community.
When it comes to documenting LGBTQ history, bisexuals are often overlooked.
Bi people have been creating and sharing zines for more than five decades. By collecting, preserving and digitising our zines we can create a record of the history of the bisexual movement, encourage academic study, and ensure future generations can continue to access these valuable resources.
Each zine collected is fully digitised and added to our with the original preserved in acid free wrapping and carefully stored.
You will be able to access the database from this page.
Want to get involved?
Zine makers and collectors can submit new and old zines to be archived by posting your zines to us: The Bi Zine Project, c/o Camden LGBT Forum, 54 Chalton Street, London NW1 1HS.
We’d love to be able to keep paper copies of every zine we see, but we understand they can be precious. If you’d like your zine to be returned to you once it has been scanned, please include a stamped, self-addressed envelope, and we’ll get it back to you as soon as we can. If you have access to a scanner, you can email scanned pages to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Bi Zine Project is generously supported by Biscuit and Camden LGBT Forum. You can donate to the project via the Biscuit paypal account..
