Boy George Mocks Bisexuals

Boy George took to twitter today to mock bisexuality while also implying that George Michael’s recent death was a suicide.

The tweet appears to suggest that people claiming a bisexual identity are lying.

In a grimly ironic twist,  George Michael, who had enjoyed sexual encounters with both men and women, made the decision not to label himself as bisexual because of biphobic remarks from his friends.
The former Culture Club frontman responded to disappointed fans on twitter by telling them their concerns are ‘steaming white rice’ and that they are ‘a bit dim’.

Only a few hours before his offensive outburst, the DJ and former pop star had tweeted that 2016 had taught him to ‘hold his tongue’.ss2017

Shock as Long-Time Self-Confessed Nazi is Discovered to be Nazi

tila_tequila_2008_539_332_c1Bisexual “reality” “star” Tila Tequila, who has long posted images to the internet of herself in Nazi garb, publicly praised Hitler and who was kicked off Celebrity Big Brother in 2015 for antisemitism, has shocked the liberal establishment by being photographed performing a Nazi salute.

Self described ‘Alt-reich queen’ Tila Tequila, who once starred in her own MTV faux-reality show A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila, where male and female competitors vied for a relationship with the singer writer internet celebrity, has been pictured alongside white supremacists Richard B Spencer and Chuck Johnson with their right arms raised in a Nazi salute. The best of the #biactivistsaresickofhearing hashtag

You’ve got to love twitter. We use it for networking, maintaining friendships, sharing news and jokes and judging other people’s grammar.  And, of course, we use it for blowing off steam, like today, when a cotterie of frazzled bi activists decided to tweet the most ridiculous, illogical and, unfortunately, ubiquitous things they hear every day.

We kicked off with a few of our own experiences…

… and boy did we hit a nerve. Here are 15 of the best responses.

Most of the time your sexuality is completely erased and you’re assumed to be gay or straight depending on the gender of your current partner. When you’re not being erased you find yourself being othered for not fitting neatly into one of the gay or straight boxes. Having a space where bisexuality is the norm is important to give one a feeling of validity and belonging.

But what if there are no bi majority spaces that you can access? In the UK the main event in the bisexual calendar is BiCon, but this only happens once a year (and, as it happens, I can’t make it this year). There are BiFests happening throughout the year and regular bisexual meet up groups, but all of these are… Continue reading
