Manchester’s LGBT Foundation today launched a series of events aimed at the bisexual community.
The launch event, which was live-streamed on Facebook, included a talk on the forgotten history of bisexuals in the LGBT movement given by Bisexual Community News editor and recent MBE recipient Jen Yockney.
Speaking to a packed hall, Yockney spoke of the rich and varied history of the bisexual moment, from the erasure faced by the community in the early 1990s – some of which continues today – through protests against Section 28 and right up to the present day.

There wasn’t anything in London on the day?
That’s right. And not just geographically – the sort of event I would want to go to wasn’t happening. I have very fond… Continue reading
It’s that time of year again: booking is now open for BiCon 2016.
This year the three night event, taking place at the University of Central Lancashire, falls just days after the first EuroBicon for more than a decade. The team anticipates a greater number of first time attendees:
“There are three major airports within 60 miles of Preston, so you could hop over from Amsterdam in just a few hours,” they told Biscuit.
The event runs from 4th – 7th August in Preston and includes a packed schedule of workshops, seminars and talks as well as nightly entertainment.
