Bi Asylum Seeker Orashia Edwards Can Stay In UK

wpid-uk-bisexual-orashia-edwards-fights-to-stop-deportation-to-jamaicaAfter a three year battle, Jamaican born bisexual man Orashia Edwards (33) was granted permission to remain in the UK.

Mr Edwards request for asylum had previously been denied, with judges claiming that his parenthood served as ‘proof’ that he was not bisexual.

Jamaica’s notorious Offenses Against the Person Act criminalises acts of ‘gross indecency’ between men in public and private, and anal sex between any genders.

In a statement Mr Edwards said, “I want to thank everyone who has supported my campaign over the years, none of this would have been possible.

“I’m finally allowed to work so have applied for my National Insurance number and can go get a job and open my own bank account. Things are really looking up for me, I’m buzzing.”

Libby is a 30-something Londoner, who spends more time reading picture books than is seemly. She became a bi activist entirely by accident, but now she can't imagine living any other way. In the event of an emergency, she'll have a large gin and tonic, thanks.
